macstl is a C++ source library designed to bring SIMD into the world of modern generic programming with fast transcendentals, integer division, complex number arithmetic all with an intuitive syntax. It offers a new implementation of std::valarray optimized for SIMD architectures like Altivec and MMX/SSE/SSE2/SSE3. Benchmarks rate it at 3.6x to 16.2x faster than hand-coded loops.
